In 1994 Raytheon (which bought Beech Aircraft Corporation in 1980) acquired Corporate Jets. The new entity being known as Raytheon Aircraft. Most Hawker 800 private jets are configured for 7 to 8 passengers and has a range of 2100 NM or 2500 SM.  From Toronto the Hawker 800 can fly non stop to most of the lower Caribbean Islands.  Heading west bound non stop to Las Vegas is within easy reach.   While with a full load the Hawker 800 can not reach the west coast, retuning eastbound to Toronto from LA is no problem.

• a stand-up cabin at 5’ 11” and aft enclosed washroom
• 5 captain chairs and either a 2 or 3 seat divan (couch in aviation talk).
• Luggage can be stowed in 1 of 3 compartments with a total of 50 sq. feet. While standard carry on overhead luggage common, soft sided luggage provides a bit more room.
• There is also a small galley with a microwave, fresh coffee, ice and chilled water.

The Hawker 800 is one of the most popular Mid Size private jets on the market. Other private jets that offer a comparable role and configuration in that era, are the Lear 60, Gulfstream 100 and Falcon 20.
